MERIDIAN HALL

WELCOME TO MERIDIAN HALL

Nobody is quite sure as to why this dorm is shaped so unconventionally. Built during the early Cold War era, some believe that Meridian Hall was intentionally designed with its iconic ‘X’ shape to make it easier for invading fighter jets to identify the university from above. The chief architect later defected to the Soviet Union. Another theory is based on a legend of pirates ruling the Wabash. They believe that long ago, a great treasure was buried under Meridian Hall. To mark the area for a return for later ventures, the pirates built an entire dormitory in the shape of an X to mark the spot. Whatever the reason, the chicken and waffle bowl is really good.

From inside Meridian, I’m being held captive American patriot, I send this final transmission: morale is gone, and escape is now the only mission. At first light, we strike back. May freedom guide us.
