Nothing’s broken here. I think that’s the problem.
I don’t really remember moving in, just kind of… ending up here. The rooms are big, which is nice, except that it gives your thoughts more room to echo. The hallways are quiet, not the kind of peaceful quiet, just that awkward silence where you feel bad making noise, like you’re inconveniencing the building itself. The lights don’t hurt your eyes, but they don’t help either. They just exist, like everything else here. I used to tell myself I’d decorate, make the space feel alive. Now I don’t remember what I meant by that.

I keep telling people it’s nice here, and I guess it is, I just don’t know why I expected that to fix anything.
